Applying for a UK passport in Denmark

New passport arrangements for British Nationals in Denmark

As from the 1st October 2009 the passport service for British nationals in Denmark was moved from Copenhagen to Dusseldorf.

All applications and supporting documents need to be sent direct to:

The passport team in Düsseldorf aim to issue new passports within 10 working days of receiving the correct documents and information (excluding transit time).

All the relevant passport forms can be downloaded together with new information on the application process via this link - (Please also read the notes concerning photographs)

You should be aware that fees can only be paid by Visa or Mastercard. Cheques are not acceptable!

In the meantime The British Embassy in Copenhagen will continue to issue emergency passports for people who need to travel quickly.

For applicants in Denmark, please call:

between the hours of 09.00 - 18.00 local time, Monday to Friday.

Calls will be handled by Careline Services and will be charged at GBP 0.69 per minute + VAT for the duration of the call. (Telephone service providers will also charge for the cost of the international call).

Please ensure you have your credit card details ready before calling.

For customers with hearing difficulties, a Textphone service is available by
contacting +44 1750 725368 (This is a credit card payment service, charged at
the same rates as above).
