The cost of passports issued at British overseas missions was increased from 3 September 2009, in line with the increase in the fee for passports issued in the UK.

The new fees payable in the equivalent local currency are:

• Adult 32-page Biometric passport                                               £124.50 / € 143.00
• Adult 48-page Jumbo Biometric passport                                    £150.50 / € 173.00
• Children Biometric passport (under 16)                                        £79.50 / € 91.00
• Temporary 12-page passport                                                          This is only available at a limited number of Consulates                   £70.50
• Emergency 1-page passport valid for a single journey to the UK £69.00 / € 79.00
  

Please note that in those exceptional cases where we agree to issue an Emergency Passport out of normal office hours, an additional call out fee of £128 per hour is payable.

Gratis Passports for Veterans - If you are a British passport holder and were born on or before 2 September 1929, you are eligible for a free passport. Passports issued under this scheme are only processed in the UK at the Liverpool Passport Office. IPS application forms should be used.
